There aren’t any food pictures in this post, but it’s chock-full of info about me and what’s been going on with me lately!
Make sure you comment on my post Better than Nutella? Deanocciola Organic Chocolate Hazelnut Creams to win a free jar! I’m accepting comments through this weekend!
Going to BlogHer 2008 Conference in San Francisco, July 18-20? I’ll be there (I’m volunteering!!) so I’d love to meet some readers and I especially hope to meet other bloggers that I’ve been reading for so long. Let me know if I should expect to see you! You can still register at the BlogHer 2008 Conference page and on my site there should be a few ads from BlogHer about winning free registration!
I conducted an impromptu video interview for Intruders TV (on Italy & UK sites) when I interviewed the co-founder of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg. I already know I talked too much (have pity, I’m a newbie), but it was a last-minute thing, so I can only get better. Thanks, Matt for your time!
There are so many blogs written by Expats in Italy, that I’ve made them their own page! Check out all the ones I’ve found (and most of which I’ve read) from all over Italy on the Expat Blogs in Italy page I created. I’m also starting a page called “Businesses by Expats in Italy” which will list some businesses being run by friends and internet friends throughout Italy. Contact me if you know I’m waiting for your info!
I’ve been using Twitter for more than a year, but I’ve noticed a lot of “normal” people opening accounts lately as it’s getting more mainstream! Here’s my Twitter feed: http://www.twitter.com/rosso and a quick page “Me and Twitter” that talks about how I am using Twitter and how I use it.
I recently Tweeted that I was in the May issue of Glamour in Italy – below is the box where I appear (it’s small, but it’s still me!) talking about my beloved e-books. Most of my Italian friends jokingly remark on the absolutely “typical American” gesture that I’m making with my hand. If you know Italian gestures, what does the one that I’m doing mean?
The pictures were taken at the Girl Geek Dinner in Italy at February, which I help organize, and we’ve got another tomorrow! If there aren’t any GGD in your area, why not think about organizing one? Check out GirlGeekDinners.com for more information!
And last but not least, I’ve given notice at my current job. Adventures to ensue, more information later. In the meantime, I welcome your comments, support, and even opportunities!

Yes, I think that is a second photo op for Sara in the Italian print. Love the hand gesture. I know whatever do when you land it will be with your feet already running and all systems go. Auguri and looking forward to new MsAdventures!

Great pic, Sara… Complimenti. I feel “proud” of you, girl.
Morena says
well, technically that gesture means “what are you talking about?”, but it’s quite versatile :-) and you can use it for multiple purposes… anyway… going back to your pic, well, girl… you look gorgeous.

wow! i watched a few minutes of the interview and thought it was funny how you use the italian “emm” instead of the english “umm” :o) can’t wait to hear about your new endeavors/projects!

What’s that old chestnut, about idle hands being the devil’s playthings? Or something like that? Well, no worries about the devil getting his mitts on you, girlfriend. ;) Keep busy, and keep focused on the future, and you’ll land on your feet – I have the utmost confidence in that. And I can’t wait to hear what world you take by storm next!
And the fact that your Italian friends are joking about you making that gesture made me laugh. So, it’s possible to have an “accent” when making hand gestures, too? Damn, I might as well give up now… ;)

Sara, best wishes for all your new projects, as many have already said, you will do great in whatever new project you start. Keep us up with all you do, as we learn so much from your posts. I came to this post early, and got so carried away following all the links that I did not post a comment. Thanks for the bloggers in Italy list, and for all the other info. I went searching for other of your posts on e-books, and couldn’t find the one I had read before, in which you commented on different brands, etc. I am researching the different options as I might be ready to take the leap. Long comment, sorry, and yes, you look gorgeous girl!

Ciao Sara,
Che ne diresti di una directory che va nell’altra direzione, blogs di espatriati Italiani che vivono in America?
Un bacio da San Francisco
